Winter is On….

Winter is finally in full effect. The local ski area Eaglecrest isn’t quite open yet, but not for a lack of snow. The middle of the mountain has put on a respectable three feet of snow in approx. the last 11 days, which caught everyone by surprise. As you can imagine we’ve taken full advantage of the early arrival of the white stuff. Its back to slightly warmer temps at sea-level now, but still below freezing above 1,000 feet. I have entered into an agreement to shoot images over the course of the season for Eaglecrest and I am looking forward to having one more excuse to be on the mountain.

Here’s a few shots from the last week or so of backcountry skiing at Eaglecrest, and yes, the powder is as good as it looks. To quote a friend, “Silk”. Winter is here, so get out there.

Kelsea, Dave, and Kaitlyn take a pause for the cause on the way up.
